It's Not Really Begging

This is my keyboard- you might be able to see a little sticker on it that says "mom",  which would be me.  I've been writing in my blog for a long time -  a couple of years on Homeschool Blogger and now at this piece of internet real estate.  But it's lonely on my blog.  I guess most people have moved uptown to facebook and don't really visit here any more.  The average number of readers I have, according to my comments, is about, well 0 would be the actual number.  Pathetic.  I feel like that  unheard guy downtown that sits on the corner with his guitar, playing his entire repertoire of ballads and maybe you nod when you pass .
If you happen by my blog, toss a quarter into my guitar case or a comment at the bottom.

I think it's also that a lot of people read blogs on their Google Reader, and I don't think they show up as a visitor to your site when they do that--unless they click on the post so they can leave a comment. So checking the site meter can be a bit misleading.

Kate, I love reading your blog posts -- I do so daily...and I think they're worth much more than a quarter! :0)

I had a blog on homeschool blogger but it all came to a screaming halt close to 3 years ago, I found your blog through your husband's back then, and i must confess you are one of 2 I kept on my feed, the other is only there so I can roll my eyes in a mocking way but I always enjoy reading yours :). So im in Australia, so I actually havent got a quarter to toss you. Tracy

Hi Kate, I always read your blog when I see it on FB. I love the way you write. I've tried to leave a comment before but for some reason haven't been able to post it. Some of the other blogs I read often times seem so arrogant and self important. Yours is just pure life and I enjoy it so much! Please keep writing about your family, this blog is lovely!

Here is a pretend dollar. Keep blogging.
Why do you have your own keyboard?

I love to read your posts, Kate. I am afraid that I am not very good at leaving comments, however. Keep on posting, I love to read about your adventures in parenting. ((HUGS))

I read too on my google reader. As someone just starting out with a big family, it is intriguing to read about your family.

I also read every update. Not through google, but through clicking on it when you post on FB. Got to get a blog reader working again since Bloglines went kaput.

I'm a loyal reader, who still hopes to be a IRL friend some day.

As a fellow foster parent and adoptive parent, I always check your blog looking for a new perspective, new adventure, or new lesson. I aspire to be a mega family... but right now it's just the 5 of us. Thanks for the inspiration!
