She Did It

Our daughter Kelly has often been timid about situations and her first day of school 13 years ago was no exception. I sang her a song every morning as we waited for the bus and she put on a brave little smile and off she went.
Yesterday, 13 years later, Kelly got on the school bus for her last day of school. She's a senior now and looking at her I couldn't help but think of that little girl from so long ago. Kelly has taken her timid self, climbed on that bus, worked hard all these years and will graduate in a few weeks.
We couldn't be prouder of her.
With her Ipod in her ears she didn't hear me sing
ing her song.

Go Kelly
Go Kelly
Go Kelly

I remember her looking like that! What a precious little girl - but even more what a beautiful young lady she is.

She's adoreable. What a lovely smile! I also wanted to commend you for actually TAKING a picture of her going off to school. My stepmom never bothered except for one year. I just loved looking at that picture for some reason. It was a milestone picture or something. Not sure. :)

I love the banner! It's awesome! You rock. But I think I look fat in that picture, don't you?

Love your new blog header (banner?) How were you able to do that? Do you use some special software? And how were you able to put a picture in your header? and get the title on the picture the way you did? I'm very impressed.

Thanks for sharing...we haven't had any kids from elementary school, but our Pauline came to at age 13yr (we had a party for her!!). I am now tearing up thinking of my biggest helper graduating from Highschool. It has been a long hard journey, with her family problems and courts and junk, but God is good and has kept her here with us from 7th grade til 12th....we did fight the system for her to finish.
God encourages us in ways we never know.
Our other fd is going home,maybe...some things have come up, but we'll see. Anyway, thanks for coming and posting on my blog....at least I know I have one faithful reader:-)
