Acting Like a Grown Up

I've had really long, really curly hair for years.
So long that it takes every ounce in the bottle to cover the gray.
And it was getting to that stage where people would think..."Why does that old lady have long hair?" And I do go to a Pentecostal church but not the kind with a long hair requirement, so I decided to have my friend Anita cut it short.

A few snips and I'm no longer a hippie chic.

Oh my gosh - your hair is so awesome. That is amazing! You do look younger - and I'm not sure how that happens - because I always think long hair = youth. :)

Hmmm - I was going to post about my hair yesterday too - I finally decided I am not going to ever grow my bangs out again - because it looks stupid that way. And I don't think I am going to highlight it anymore - too much upkeep. I might go darker or just let nature take it's course.

You are so dang cute!!!

Your haircut looks wonderful! What a great change! Do you keep flipping your hair around?

You look super cute! So you'll just have to be a partial hippy.

Yeah, I kind of forgot to tell you I like your haircut. It looks great. But hippie chicks rock, too.

One question, did James notice? I chopped 6 inches this fall and Dave didn't even catch it.

Mom, You're gorgeous. I wish I looked half as cool as you do. And I'm half your age. How did such a cool hippie chick raise such a nerd?
