This New Year's Eve we had a sushi party at our house. James spent the day preparing so much sushi that you could eat and eat till you were sick of it. I didn't know there was such an amount... but there was.
He assembled all his ingredients.
He trained his young sushi assistant.
Making the perfect roll.
Beautiful!

Wow - those are beautiful, even if I won't eat them. Richard and Robbie LOVE sushi - they would be impressed.
I love sushi too! Now I have to make some. I was raised by a Japanese American step-father and learned to make nori maki. Your sushi looks so pretty. If we were neighbors we could have a sushi party. I think about half or two-thirds of my kids like sushi.
I will blog about it next time I make nori rolls. You have some great pics.

Wow. I am not a sushi person, but this pic makes it look positively delectable. And is that Fiesta ware??? I love Fiesta - it's what I want when I grow up...lol
I LOVE Sushi!!!
Man - and I have to live way over here in Texas.
Those are bee-yoo-tee-ful - although a man in a beard doesn't usually make them for you.
Go James -
I just learned how to make it recently too.
Those look great even if I'm not brave enough to try it. Sounds like the perfect thing for New Year's Eve.
How 'bout that man you got? He's sure lookin good...
