It Looks So Perfect

I was sitting here staring at the Back to School add from Target....looking at the adorable children in their perfect clothes with their new back packs and lunch bags....getting ready to run off to school and leave the house empty all day so that the mom has complete silence and she can start a project and work on it all day listening to her Ipod and sipping a cup of tea on the couch when she takes a break.

Okay......somebody remind me why I'm homeschooling.

Because looks can be deceiving.

you're homeschooling to offer your children the best environment conducive to their learning needs. because you love them enough to not subject them to the horrors of public school. and because you are an absolutely amazing woman!

blessings!

Great post. I'm feeling a bit of that tug right now too.

I noticed in your comment on Emily's blog that you are using Sonlight this year. Hope you have a good experience! We've been using it (at least for history, readers and read-alouds) for about 5 years now.

I am feeling the same way right now. I think it is just from having them all home for the summer. Once school starts and I have half of them home and half in school I can tell you all the bad stuff about having the kids in the public school. lol
